The Godox R1200 ring flash head simply plugs into the AD1200 pro’s Pack instead of the standard AD1200 Pro lamp head, which enables you to take advantage of all of the AD1200 Pro’s features such as:
TTL
This feature works with your camera’s metering system to determine the best flash exposure to capture your perfect shot. This function can save you a lot of time on a shoot as it rules out having to do the age-old trial and error method, this feature is especially handy when working in a fast-paced shooting environment.
HSS
The Godox AD1200 ring flash light features HSS making it possible to shoot at a shutter speed that is faster than your camera’s Sync speed, enabling you to kill the ambient exposure and use the flash to illuminate your subject so the sky will not get blown out.
Stroboscopic Multi-Flash Mode
The Stroboscopic Flash feature causes your AD1200 Pro ring flash light to fire multiple low-powered flashes in rapid succession. Combined with a slow shutter speed, you can capture a sequence of images of a moving subject in one exposure such as the one in the photo above.
